Pou* is from Salelologa, Samoa. Her love for design is rooted in her culture’s rich history of storytelling. In her own words,
“Art is a monologue. Whereas design is a dialogue between you and your audience. In the digital space this becomes more apparent as we are able to measure in real-time how people react to the things we build. With that in mind it becomes vital that we tell a story–design an experience–that is easily understood.”
Pou has worked in tech since 2012 and is currently a Senior Product Designer at Redfin. In her spare time, she enjoys writing personal essays, reading with her book club, and working with young people interested in entering the tech/design space. She has a Bachelor's degree from the University of California Santa Cruz, in Fine Art.
